What's been happening with the guys at Evad3rs? Either they've been stuck coding at some island, broke up with their girlfriends over at Comicon or just trying to evade the angry hoard of iPhone users still waiting for their next big jailbreak?
So really what's taking them so long? Without jailbreaking, Apple devices are just over-hyped products with a leash, you bought it and you can't entirely say you own the thing or enjoy its full range of functionality unless Apple says so. That said, Apple is a control freak when it comes to its latest and greatest. Apple will not allow root access to its consumers, which is why over a million users scour the net for the latest jailbreak.

iPhone Jailbreak
Apple is just hard up on the idea iPhone users want to break free of their reins. Users want choices, not a monopoly of the same sample platter of apps for their phones.

There are great apps out there from independent app developers who don't cost a lot compared to buying on iTunes.
So what's the Right Way to go about Things?
Do you have time to stick around and read instructions? Jailbreaking is fairly easy, 30 mins to an hour, you can get it done. But always back your data though there is no risk on the iPhone itself, you lose no basic functions by jailbreaking, you can always restore the factory settings. Just revert. So should there be no reason, not to try to jailbreak your iPhone.
And if you do jailbreak your phone successfully, then party like your on spring break!
